We taught at several workshops at the Inspiration Technology Conferences in Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Cincinnati. In addition, we trained several church theatre groups. Here are samples of the workshops:

Launching a Theatre Ministry in Your Church

• Vision, organization, specialty teams, and resources -- the critical nuts and bolts of launching an effective and exciting ministry through theatre.  Many people get a vision for a theatre ministry, but run aground quickly without the keys to a great organization.  This workshop provides practical guidance, details, and techniques to help you build your ministry effectively.

Directing: Developing Actors From Auditions to Final Performance

• Church theatre has unique characteristics that require unique techniques and methods to get the best out of amateur actors.  This workshop explores how to place the right people in the right parts through a sensitive and edifying audition process.  Then, we go through key steps in developing characterization through verbal and non-verbal communication.  Your actors will come alive on stage as never before!

From Worship to Dinner Theatre

• From supporting your pastor's sermon with short sketches to Broadway style musicals, to dinner or dessert theatre, where does drama fit your church?  This workshop explores the possibilities and may help you communicate your ideas to church management!  Hear what other churches are doing to expand their outreach.

Scriptwriting:  The Lifelines of Theatre

• How do you capture God's Word in dialogue or bring a biblical character to life, or use a modern day situation to hold an audience's attention long enough to make an impact?  You will learn the key structural characteristics of good plays and sketches and how to build your characters through physical and verbal actions.  If you follow the principles in this session, your scripts will become razor sharp and tightly written to gain maximum impact.
